I also explain the difference between a peaceful protester and one who seeks to change the government through violence. On August 12th, 2005 I could believe my eyes. The Portland Police set up a road block on the Burnside Bridge. Why? To attempt to tow the cars passing by that didn’t possess current tags. This kind of mandatory check is happening across the nation. While it may be legal, it is certainly a stepping stone for the real checkpoints of tomorrow. Anthony J.
