ABC Movie Hypes H5N1 panic Alex Ansary, May 11, 2006 Concentration camps and starvation are realities that Americans experience in the film, as our government appears to do it's very best to contain the situation. The film centers around several characters and we witness their lives being turned upside down overnight. The central reoccurring theme is the massive lack of vaccines available and intense human loss in a very short span of time. Vaccination of the entire planet quickly becomes a physical impossibility as the virus mutates at a speed never seen by human kind before. By the end of the film, over 50 million people die from the flu. There is no hope left in sight for the remainder of the series. This is the same network that's parroting the distortions delivered by the president and leading health officials. It's the same network that’s part of Disney, the same network that supposed to be bringing you objective and accurate information on Bird Flu. ABC has a right to make movies, as anyone should. The problem we are facing however is a bit larger than a silly ABC Tuesday night movie. This is about government sponsored propaganda. Many of us have read the reports documenting government influence in film plots and headline news. Every week in the paper there’s another headline about the government working within the entertainment industry -- painting a branch of government in a positive light. One book that highlights specific examples of the pentagon working hand in hand with today’s top film companies is 'Operation Hollywood' by David L. Robb. Why aren't more media and film critics noticing the obvious truth that we are being deceived intentionally? It's like a script-- a constant psychological implantation of an eternal sense of helplessness, where the only savior is the government. Without a strong structure, chaos becomes a way of life. According to the messages being sent by the networks, you are not the savior; your neighbor is not the savior, and neither is GOD. If the film is about the war, then it’s convenient to bring the good lord into the final cut to act a cosigner to this illegal war. The propaganda machine is oiled up and operating at a swift pace these days. Alarmingly enough, the degree of sophistication is increasing by the day. Donald Rumsfeld recently was caught in another contradiction when questioned by a dissenting former CIA analyst, but that’s still acceptable to to some Americans. That's due to the fact that lying, sensationalizing, the politics of fear, aren't random pieces of data collected from the mainstream media and political spokespeople. It’s become a way of life. It's news, information, and leadership in the 21st century with all the slick packaging served by a dolled up reporter who doesn’t know what the ‘public interest’ is. Let’s not forget the growing profits that Rumsfeld is making off the sales of TamiFlu. The overall mental health of average Joe USA is under a constant direct assault from the bombardment of mind altering fake newscasts, SWAT TV dramas, and multimedia testimonials of the police state nightmare stomping on our freedoms on nearly all the cable network channels. They've used it all: 911, the London bombings, the Iraq war, Afghanistan, cameras in the bathroom, avian bird flu. What's next? Are we as viewers, being programmed to accept a chaotic catastrophe and the subsequent solution from the government? When in Rome they asked the question, Cui Bono? Who benefits? When they craft a story to produce a sense of infinite despair, they are insulting every American's intellect. They tell you the same lies over and over and expect you to be dumbed down enough to not notice what’s happening. They would rather you keep your mouth shut if you ever do catch onto the giant con in the sky . The commercials surrounding the spin doctored package of lies were one biblical type of 'end of the world' flick after another. The trailers that ABC aired were so terrifying that any susceptible viewer would believe that our world is ending and the mighty power of our nations leadership is our only hope for survival. Sometimes the trailers had no heroes, only another story about a horrific tragedy or murder. It quickly became one terror stricken cookie cutter made for TV movie after another. The pattern was 'repetition.' There were also several government ads paid for by the Department of Health and Human Services that provided phone numbers and web sites to curb any panic that could result from the series. The rise of the politics of fear is not only lining the pockets of executives at ABC, but that of the defense contractors, the companies that design biometric technology, Verchip, the RFID industry, and many others. We are being handed a newer and bigger government with the power and possession of unlimited technology. This can be used to track and trace every bird, every product, every purchase, every car, every phone call, and even every single human being alive. Of course, tracking absolutely everything by GPS requires a few more major jumps to be made in the arena of database supercomputers and nanotechnology. Once the Panopicon Dystopia reaches completion of the ‘great work’ and concepts of artificial intelligence are truly understood, we are in trouble. Films can be used to teach people about parts of their own culture or expressions of life that their immediate environment isn’t fulfilling. A new film from the creators of 'Waking Life' have recently produced 'A Scanner Darkly'. This film hits theaters this summer exposing the phony drug war and surveillance society. In fact, the directors have even asked Alex Jones (infowars.com) to make a special appearance. However, when a lot of money is directed towards Hollywood and the media by the corrupted criminal factions within the government, viewers can be easily sold a fake bill of goods. It appears that the secret goals and hidden agendas of the ruling class are using Hollywood and the media as their primary vehicle to spout out our government’s official view on life itself. I think we should balance common sense and logic when examining the Avian bird flu and big media’s reaction to it. Addictive emotions like fear and terror will get us nowhere, even if the threat is real. Panicking isn’t a solution, no matter how many people around us appear to crack or 'break' under pressure. I believe the sad truth is that most of us are going to die a mundane death. The loudspeakers that are delivering custom tailored nightmares to us all are now being exposed as the illusions that they really are. Unfortunately, we won’t die a mundane death if our society and congressional representatives continue to all advance a covert agenda to turn the United States into a nightmarish police state hell hole. The truth will set you free, but first it’s going to piss you off. |
